The new remote is recalling the default settings, you need to program the settings over when using the new remote. You would need to change the tach setting to voltage.

see if it remote starts with the key in the ignition, if so it's a by-pass problem.

Your probably right but it used to be 15 secs. when tach wasn't learned, if the poster does what I suggested, if it starts with the key in I'm right, if it doesn't you're right!

Either but it has to be Kosher, nah who cares. Now I've done the diagnostics you can explain to our poster how to strip his car, find out what make and model by-pass Bet it was a chip on the ignition switch antenna and it has fallen off, then how to get it working.
We are going to get murdered in the Champion's League in Germany tonight.

And I don't think the new remote has been learned properly, didn't our poster say that it STILL starts with the original remote?

Dump both the remotes then relearn them either via the owner's manual or a Bitwriter.

I think you're right, lunch back with me but I don't have any answers apart from dumping and relearning the remotes.

I think they used a bitwriter in the original programming, sometiemes it happens to me, where i was using one remote on the system and programmed with the bitwriter and didn't allocate the transmitters to zero, the other remote when used will recall the original settings.

Yes lunch on me Darren, I think you figured it but surely it sends a remote start pulse via * as a default setting.
P.S. Came out of the supermarket just now to find my engine running, must make the * a double pulse....
