In Dubai there are no qualified installation shops for DEI products. But some of the guys in these shops have done Viper installs in their home country - Philippines.

So I am working with this guy attempting to install a 5901 alarm/RS.

Using 5901/CANMAX400/XKEYCHGM.

Install so far has the CANMAX400 programmed and with Green.

Factory FOB and Viper Colour remote lock/unlock and activate alarm without issue.

The problem is hitting the "Remote Start" on the Viper remote returns an error - "Toggle Switch Off"

Checking the toggle switch and it is plugged into the 5901 and the switch is set to "ON"

Where should I look to resolve this?

PS I also have a Bitwriter if required to configure ...

Thanks in advance,

Android

Yes!

When the Neutral Safety wire is grounded, the module knows that the vehicle is in park, and allows it to start.

On older vehicles without a built in NSS, you would wire it to the Park/Neutral switch (rarely found these days).

I don't import these immigrants to work here, the Arabs do!

It is frustrating enough to accomplish a alarm/RS install in a foreign country without receiving unnecessary comments that have no purpose but sarcasm! Keep your comments T&T they are not required!

Mark Mizenko thanks for you clear and precise response, it will be understood when I pass it on!
