Hi Guys ,, I am going Crazy trying to figure out what kind of car starter/alarm I should buy for my Ford Edge Ses '08 .. I've been researching all kinds of systems , but stumbled thru Ebay for the VIPER 5901 LC3 CAR ALARM REMOTE START SYSTEM 2 WAY  and transponder key bypass (<"">CANMAX400 or 400dei) .. The insecurity Im having is , Maybe there is a better   (Value for your buck) system or less expensive one that does the same .. Im not even sure the Viper 5901 is a good combo with the canmax400 . If I was going with the Viper system What else would I Need to complete the job that I can Hopefully Install Myself . And if not ,, what other kind of Complete combo would I go with ??  Your Input would be grately appreciated ,, Thanks in advace

viper or DEI is definitly not your average system. if you have some skills then for sure its do-able, but it should be left to a pro.

with that being said, it all depends on your budget. Compustar, autopage, etc all make alarms/rs that are very reliable and have units to suite anyones price plan.

i have had bad luck with DEI stuff, but that just might be me. they are without a doubt bulletproof units (besides first batch of 590x) brains.
