I am in the process of ordering a remote start for my Sorento. I am looking at a Galaxy 2000rs-2w1.  Would it be benefical to order the ADS custom bypass module that is offered with it? It also has the option of having them add the door locks to the bypass.  My other thought was to order one from xpresskit that would probably be a little cheaper but wouldn't be preprogramed. Any suggestions? Thanks

very easy to install on without a data module.

you only need one to do the bypass.

Thanks for the help Tedmond. Are you saying that this remote starter can be installed without a bypass module? I have only installed one remote start and that was about ten years ago so I am just a little rusty on the process.  It seems to me that it would be easier with the bypass but I'm still in the process of figuring eveything out. Thanks

No you need the bypass for the transponder system, the rest can be hardwired if you do not decide to use a data bypass.

you will need a bypas module, you do not need a data module for door locks, FAD, etc.

as T&T mentioned, all the necessary wires can be hardwired at the ignition or drivers kick. when i did this vehicle, most if not all were at the knee bolster. shoot me a pm, ill get you a wiring diagram with pictures. i have it when i installed it from autostart.
