I have a CompuStar 2W8000FMR (3000) (CM3000 brain) installed in my car. I have a 2007 Grand Prix base model. When i start the car with the car starter it turns on then off then on... and it keeps happening.

On the display of the car it says...               "starting disabled due to theft system"

How do i fix this so i can start my car with the car starter.   It's starting to get cold out.

More important than what remote start is in the car is what override was used to take care of the pk3 chip in the key. This car is notorious for not liking any type of module.
In my opinion, the only sure fire way to take care of this is to go to a GM dealer and purchase a uncut non programmed key for the car and bring it to where you had the remote start done and have them remove the bypass and install the key in a box. They will understand this terminology.
If there is already a key installed in the car it may just have to be reprogrammed. Good luck.

This system came with the car when i bought it so i can't take it to who installed it.

No, he means, the car has a factory anti theft deterrent which will prevent the car from starting without the proper key, so this has to be bypassed, not doing so will cause your no start problems. And judging by your questions and the vehicle you're working with i think you should consult professionals.

OK, here goes.  Lets assume that the Remote Start system was properly installed and working at one time...

That means besides the the Compustart CM3000 remote start control unit, there was an additional bypass unit.  There is a CM3000 install guide in the downloads section of this site.  Download that and become familiar with the Compustar wiring and functionallity.  It is not the complete install guide but does show the wiring.

The two places to look are at the ignition cylinder itself and the CM3000 brain.  On the CM3000 find the Black wire at CN2 Pin 2.  That will typically go to and control the bypass module.  Under the steering wheel cover, at the ignition cylinder look for additional wires wrapped around the key end of it.  If found, follow them back to "something".  It could be a small black box, a key wrapped in black tape, etc.

Once you know how the PK3 was bypassed, then you can decide on your next step.  There are a myriad of possibilities at this point.  If it's a module, then check for a wiring break / problem.  If all that looks OK, then perhaps a reset and re-program is needed.  It's one thing to install a remote start system from scratch, choosing all the componants and another to troubleshoot someone elses choices and work....  You have to be knowledge of the entire spectrum of models, wiring, programming, and each of their peculiarities.

Thanks a lot for this information now i can go in my car and figure out my next step... I am betting there is no bypass module!  The only thing i know right now about the wiring is

The pink highlighted stuff is not installed everything else is.... But haven't checked the other side of the Compustart CM3000

( it actually might be worth my time to take it to a professional just because there is a list of stuff not installed)

First off i am just guessing it's not working because CN1 (7) CN2 (3) wirers not installed

With nothing connected to CN2 Pin 2 you are probably correct, no bypass installed. 

The CM3000 with the 2W800FRM remotes is a very nice system.  It would be worth the money to have it checked out and made fully functional by a local professional installer.  Check for installer listings in the 12 volt.
