I just got a Clifford 50.7x put in a 2002 Trailblazer and everything works fine except when you remote start the car- it bypasses the sensors. For example after the car gets remote started, I can open the doors and the alarm never gets triggered amd doesn't go off.
Any ideas?

You should take this up with the installers! By-passing the sensors should only happen whilst it's starting.

You should have said "I put a Clifford in" rather than "I just got a Clifford put in".

Does this also happen when you simply set the alarm?
And was your alarm install to the standard of your grammar?
Is door open showing on your remote?

No it doesn't happen when I arm the alarm normally. And yes it does show up on the remote.

There is an override during remote start, but this should only be for the outside sensors such as prox, tilt etc.
As you said the doors shouldn't be affected.
I briefly looked over the installation guides (Directechs have three updates!) I originally thought it might be a programming error but I can't see it if your remote signals open door and opening a door triggers the alarm in normal mode when set.
It might be worthwhile to run a Bitwriter over the install.

2 thoughts, read page 22 of the owner's manual; your are using the R/S when the alarm is on aren't you?

What are you referring to on page 22?
And yes, with the car armed- turning remote start on- the door triggers get bypassed ONLY after 15 seconds, during the initial 15 seconds the alarm gets triggered and goes off like it should with remote start on.

Can't remember! Something about instant trigger, I suggest if no one else comes up with anything you contact DEI.
That 15 seconds worries me, it should be the other way round!
