Installing a Code Alarm CA610 in a 2003 F150 4X4. Alarm and door locks are working fine but when try to remote start all I get is several clicks from the unit? Thinking problem might be in the 4 Pin Harness, which includes Factory Disarm, Factory Re-arm, Pulse After Shutdown and Pulse During Crank. Any suggestions?

Did you use an immobilizer?

Have not hooked it up yet, I believe the the truck should turn over but not start, and if you leave a key in the ignition it will start. Tried both ways but all I get is a clicking (relays) from the unit. What about the 4 pin harness I mentioned in my post, how should that be hooked up? Thanks

Does the truck have the factory alarm? If not, the first two outputs are not used.
Pulse after Shutdown is usually used for RAP. That wouldn't affect the start sequence.
Why not program and / or set up the bypass and see what happens? ------------- Soldering is fun!

I'm not too familiar with the Code Alarm systems but I don't believe that the 4 pin harness needs connected at all. I really just think you need to use the immobilizer.

does the remote start have manual transmission mode? alot of DEI r/s have it and its the default setting. it will click and flash the parking lights until that feature is changed. having a bypass or not, the ignition should still turn on and crank on an 03 f150
