remote stopped working.

took it apart and saw that there are two circutboards connected twice.  one of the connections had worn solder points.  thought that I would fix it instead of spend 100 for new remote.

remote now works, but is not receiving a signal back. the alarm and remote start work, but the remote is acting like I am out of range.

I am looking for some info on the layout of the chip to see if I over connected some things, and or any other helpful advice. thanks in advance.

You probably still have a bad joint.

I've fixed MANY of those remotes, the top one has 3 legs, and the lower connector has about 6 (8?).

If theres any of the tan glue on the connectors, use an Xacto knife blade to LIFT it off.

Use a SMALL tipped iron, and reflow all the joints.
