Ok I installed an alarm/remote starter on a '02 Cadillac Deville. I used the XK09 Xpresskit (W2W). Everything worked fine when I gave the customer his car. Now whenever he remote starts the car, the service stability system comes on. This only happens when its remote started. I was thinking maybe its the parking lights. I know on the Monte Carlo I worked on not too long ago said to wire in a diode for the parking lights or the check engine light will turn on. Do you think this is the same problem? I wont be seeing the car in a few days....I figured I would ask ahead of time.

Thanks.

Is there an extra ignition wire that needs to be wired up? As I said before, never see them here, we've got Jag,BMW Benz Audi and Lexus so they're as rare as rocking Horse s**t having said that use the search box at the bottom of the page, I'm sure this has come up before.

I just did what I told you to do, you must power the second ignition wire.

I did do that. I actually connected the 2nd ignition to the 2nd ignition on the remote starter. Connected accessory 1 wire. I was left with accessory 2 without a connection. But I used a relay to power that. Im really thinking that its the parking lights, but I could be wrong. I will see when I get to look at the car again.
