I found an old Avital 3300 in my spare wiring box that I had forgotten about.  I installed it into my '04 silverado along with an old 456g and 555L.  The 555L won't re-learn the resistance apparently but thats ok because later I found a 1700g that I will swap out later.  Anyway back to the 3300.  I found some avital remotes that I thought went with the unit.  Although they could be from a 4300.  Are the fobs from a 4300 compatible? The 3300 doesn't recognize them.  I can enter the keyfob programming mode but the 3300 does not respond to any remote signal.  I have a 4300 avital in my 4runner that works but the 3300 in my silverado does not resond to those fobs either.  The cable to the antenna had a broken wire at the plug in but I soldered it back.  Should I get new remotes for the 3300 or the antenna or both fobs and antenna?  How can I tell if the antenna is bad?

Over 50 views and nobody has any ideas?  Well, I think I may just take a gamble and order a new remote and antenna to see if that gets it.  I will let you all know.

I might as well take another gamble and ask, where is a good place online to buy a new remote and antenna?
