My car is fitted with a Cobra 0802T 4C0802STC TPDP 4009 immobiliser and the contacter that you touch the key fob to has fallen to bits. It's construction is a small metal ring with an insulated metal pin in the middle that you tap with a similar fob on your key ring. When it disintegrated it will have definitely touched the two conductors together. I've repaired the thing with insulation tape and there is no short now but the thing will not reset. Any ideas out there please?

Has to be removed, I do this all the time in the London area, just remove, bin them and get the car going.

No way I would attempt to explain, it has to be seen to be done, I should know, your other option is to have it towed to a dealer, but then is it a grey import? If so 2 things, either a £300 bill or the dealer won't touch it.
London N.W. I would charge about £60 to get you going.

Yes black for ignition, RED / black for start and RED / yellow (Mkl & ll Golfs) for fuel pump. So when all else fails call me.
