I am new to using idatalink modules.
I have the Multi series idatalink module, CM6000 starter/alarm, and the dronemobile for a 2008 Ford Explorer.
According to the information I received with my products the idatalink module only gets 3 wires connected to my vehicle. The firmware that is installed is DBI-AL(TB)-FM. I'm guessing that the firmware does the transponder bypass as well as the door locks through the tx and rx wires.
Anyway, heres the problem. I have the data wire to connect the remote start to the idatalink module.
The question is: Do I still have to connect all of the wires from the remote start/alarm to the car? Which wires are still necessary? How does the Drone Mobile connect to the system?
It looks like the Drone module and the remote starter interface with the same cable, but the remote start would need a second data port.
Hope someone can give me some insight to this confusion.

It seems that I would have been better off going with the Blade series instead of the Multi series. If I am right, I wish the people at autotoys.com would have informed me of such...

either will work, the blade would have been the best integration.

Ok, I have everything but the dronemobile installed. The remote starter will not start the car, but the alarm and locks work. If I use my key to start the car and then press the remote start button it will remain running after removing the key. I also get error 01 on my 2 way lcd remote. The parking lights do not flash at all, when arming/disarming the system, or when pressing the remote start.

Look at the factory security light on the instrument cluster. When it tries to remote start does it start flashing?
If so, try setting the key in the ignition without turning it on. Does it now RS? If so your bypass isn't working... ------------- Mike M2
