Ok.. not new to installs but my latest vehicle a 2010 Nissan Frontier is the potential next candidate (just finished with my 2001 Mazda Tribute this weekend & my former 328i some years ago)

Looking for the experience here to guide me in the right direction on a system and any tips to install in the Frontier.

I am thinking of the Viper 5501 for the 2 way & range but not set on anything. If you have any recommedations that fall into a nice range with 2 way please do share your opinions. I plan to have this vehicle for quite some time and want to be sure the right unit is selected and installed.

Thanks,

Stan

Compustar 2WSS-S with the iDatalink Blade AL. This combo should only take you about 2 hours to do. The iDatalink will take care of all convenience features and the immobilizer bypass.

Hi Jeff,

Looks like the 2WSS-S is not available anymore from my searching. Is this an older model replaced by something newer you recommend or know where I can find the 2WSS-S?

Thanks,
Stan

FYI: i had a 2010 frontier in over the summer that had power locks/windows, oem keyless entry and an auto trans that did not have a transponder ignition

not saying they're all like this, just that there are still some out there in the US that don't have it yet

that is good to know.. I'll look into that before I order anything.. thanks kelly.. The Compustar system seems like you can't order online.

the 5501 is a great choice if your truck has a factory alarm already or if you're not interested in adding security. Other interface modules available for you consist of the DLPK, XK09, or the CANMAX400. All of these will also take care of door locks, and immobilizer override during remote start.
