I am having trouble finding the wire to disarm the factory alarm. Info I have says it is GREEN/ violet. Does this wire go to ground when key is turned in lock? If anyone can assist me in finding wire it would be appreciated.

hi,
what style key does the taurus have...metal blade or fob... meaning a regular ignition key cylinder? the metal key doesn't have a disarm signal in the door cylinder switch. you need to pulse the ignition and the transponder bypass at the same time to disarm the alarm.

What are you trying to accomplish? Are you installing a remote starter? If so, then the above answer is right.

only way to disarm the ford alarm is either with factory remote or with ign and transponder at same time. if doing start only no extra steps are needed but if your doing keyless and or alarm also, youll have to wire in a relay to pulse the ign wire and the transponder bypass at the time of unlock to disarm alarm, or just make certain you never lock doors with dr door open therefore alarm wouldnt arm, it only arms with factory fob or if locking doors while dr door is open
