I cannot find the immobilizer on my 2004 kia sorento. Is it possible that it does not have one? I was thinking that all of them have it but I'm not 100%  sure. I purchased an idatalink to install with my remote start but the wiring diagram that comes with it is showing a connector that is not located on my vehicle. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Older Kias and Hyundais do not have immobilizers in the U.S.

You can thank the writers of the wiring sheets for being too lazy to differentiate U.S. and Canadian models.

You don't need any bypass module at all.

If the key doesn't have the dots on the end of the plastic, then it does not have an immobilizer.

Thanks for the help! I wish I would have known this before ordering a bypass module :)  Worse things have happened!
