Ok guys sorry to bother but I cannot seem to get a straight answer. What is the difference between the vsm 100 and vsm 200. Is it just a model number change or is there a difference in options. I want to buy a smartstart for my 5902 before I install it but want to make sure I get the smartstart module if there really is a difference.

the 200 will work with older model DEI units.

Yup... the 200 will work with the older units that had the ESP2 or data port built into the brain. It will easily just plug in and work.
