I have a rattler 300 installed on 1998 toyota tacoma. I want to deinstall it. what are the correct steps to deinstall it with out frying the ecu. I thought I could just take out all the wiriring?????

In general you need to trace all wires back to their source and cut and tape. Don't leave "dead" wires laying around.
If any wires were cut during the installation - restore them by soldering.
If you are worried about the ECU - disconnect the battery first.
