Hello, I've been installing a Viper 5301/DLPKGM in my '04 Chevy Avalanche. With the help of the search function on this forum I'm pretty confident I'm hooked up correctly.

My only two concerns are:

Tach Wire: I'm seeing conflicting info on this - should I hook the tach input on the RS IN connector on the Viper to the Violet/White Tach wire on the DLPKGM or, do I splice the Viper's tach wire into the tach wire in the truck's harness?

On the DLPKGM - the Ground While Running status wire ((blue/white) - I cannot figure out which wire on the Viper to hook this to? I see Ground When Armed on Viper Connector H1/12 (Orange) but, I've learned through searching here that this is not the same as Ground When Running.

Help with these two wires would be greatly appreciated thanks!

1) Connect to the violet/white on the DLPKGM.
2) Viper calls it Status output. There should be a couple of them, one will be a small gauge blue wire, the other a small gauge blue and white wire.

Oh yeah, for Status Output, you only need to connect to one of them.
