HI Installers,

Looking for some feedback on installing a R/s w/ keyless into 08 X3 BMW.

I have the skills , but after doing the research online and what may be required for the bypass and door locks , it might not be worth my time.

Does anyone of you have any concrete info that could help me make my decision.

Ifar- lists the X5 not the X3, but states the EVO-aLL will work, and the INT-BMW1 is needed for the push to start.

is the X5 same as X3?

Thanks in advance for any supporting info.

Louied

The X3 is the 3 series the X5 is the 5 Series. You will need many specialised parts. Not really to be attempted by a DIYer.

Amateurs assume, don't test and have problems; pros test first. I am not a free install service.
Read the installation manual, do a search here or online for your vehicle wiring before posting.

thanks

BTW , I have been installing for 15 yrs..  I am not the DIY'er.. used to be. when transponder was still considered a future upgrade to factory security.

I have not touched a BMW in a few yrs.. last one for a R/S was a 2000 x5.. it was a challange..

I am just trying to price out the job and amount of time to install and any tips i might need to bang this out..

I am well aware of the bypass modules needed..

thanks, for the feed back..
