after i successfully installing an avital 4113 with an idatalink bypass module (ADS-AL CA) in my 07 infiniti g35x sedan PTS i have noticed the loss of auto up windows. the windows go down auto but if you tap them up they dont auto roll up like they used to.

i also noticed my cruise controll will not set anymore, i can turn it on and off but it wont set.                                                                                                                                                                 i cannot think of any possible way this could have happened?                                                                                                                                                                                                                    i did disconnect the battery briefly could that have reset a module or computer in the car to act this way?

One last thing. is there anyway to stop the car from making that high pitched noise because of the parking lighs being on when you open the door? when the car is running in R/S mode it acts as if the car is not running atall with the lighting system because it usually only makes that tone when you leave the lights on while exiting the vehicle when its off.

What version of ADS AL(DL) NI do you have flashed on the ADS AL CA module?  iDatalink has gone from V5.5 to V5.8 to V6.0 to V6.1 in the last couple of weeks for problems like that, but on Sentra, Rogue & some others.  It can also affect the rear defroster.  The problems happens after a remote start & key take-over.  Everything should work normally with just a regular key start.  Check your firmware level and update it to the latest if necessary.  Give iDatalink Tech Support a call, 1-866-427 2999 EXT 2.

You just need to reset the window limit switch. Roll the window all the way down without using the auto down, then roll it up without auto. When it gets to the top lift and hold the switch in the auto up position for about 5 seconds. Roll it down with auto and then try the auto up. It should work.

Some of the GM cars are like this also. However if you have a Driver Info Center, it will tell you to "Roll window down, roll window up" first time I saw it I was like ???? Then it made sense to me.

1. Window reset, according to Infiniti shop foreman who taught me:

A: Hold switch down to FIRST stop (not auto), roll window all the way down, keep holding for 5 seconds.

B: Push switch further to the AUTO DOWN position; hold for 5 seconds.

C: Pull switch up to FIRST stop (not auto), roll window all the way up, keep holding for 5 seconds.

D: Pull switch further up to AUTO UP position, keep holding for 5 seconds.

2: Cruise control: You might have used the wrong neutral-safety wire under the hood; many installers have done this before.

They say there's some wire that's.....I don't know....diagonally opposite the one you want, and it works to start the car, but messes up the cruise control.

Quick test: Put the ignition on, set the parking brake, put the car in Drive, then push and hold the pushbutton to turn the ignition off.

With your foot hovering over the foot brake just in case, try the remote starter.

If it remote-starts in Drive or Reverse, you can be sure you got the wrong wire.....time to go back underhood and change it.

cool got the windows working and the car does attempt to start in drive. wow i just look at the install manual from idatalink and in the diagram for my car it shows pin 30 but in the wiring reference chart it say pin 38. so i guess im moving that wire lol. atleast this is my vehicle.

Thank you soo much!
