I  found the wires for the door locks, upper d/s firewall.  My remote start wires for door lock/unlock are negative trigger. Do I connect these wires straight up and thats it? Its a 1999 ford f150, with power locks.

The info is here, vehicle wiring charts are your friend, use them and don't expect to be spoon fed.

Probably yes.  What model of remote start are you using?

If existing key less entry, neg so your R/S is OK. Use diodes, 1N4004 bands away from R/S.
If not keyless, then 5 wire, use 2 relays as per the instructions on the relay site here or better DEI 451.
Incidentally if you found the wires why are you even asking?
Don't you have a DMM?

I have read into it, some people say they are using relays some people not. I do not know what circumstance you would need relays. Thats why I ask.

I've already given you the answer and you've quoted it. If you don't understand it's not my problem.
