Getting ready to install a Viper 5701 remote start in a 2006 Chevy Impala. The Key has a circle + on it. I have been reading for a couple hours, can't seem to come up with a definitive answer as to which bypass module to use. I have heard XK01, 1701G, 556UW, XK01 + XK06, etc... What is the best method in your opinion?
Do I need to wrap a wire around the ignition cylinder?
I'm looking for the cleanest, quickest option here. Thanks!

Your car has the PassKey3+ immobilizer.  If you want to stay with DEI products and go D2D, try the DLPK bypass module.  Here is a link with the info and the install guide :  https://www.xpresskit.com/product.aspx?productid=122

If  don't mind going W2W, iDatalink has 3 pre-loaded Solo Series modules that will do everything also.  Here is the link : https://www.idatalink.com/helpdesk/  If the car is not used on a regular basis, consider getting the ADS RNG GM3 with the bypass module to reduce power consumption.

Soldering is fun!
