I just finished installing an AVITAL 5103 (DEI) alarm/remote start in my 94 accord lx.I have everything working fine (security) The problem im having is when I press the starter button on the remote, the start sequence initiates but doesn't crank, the dash lights light up, fuel pump kicks in, and right when its supposed to crank, I hear 1 click from the starter and then it shuts down and repeats this cycle 2 more times. If i start the car with the key, press start button on remote, and remove key from ignition the car stays running until i tap the brake (the way its supposed to).
the following are the connections i've made:

H/1- (+) STARTER OUTPUT (PURPLE) CONNECTED TO BLK/WHT (STARTER SIDE)
H/2- STARTER INPUT (GREEN) CONNECTED TO BLK/WHT (IGNITION SIDE)
H/3(2 FUSED WIRES)- (+) 12V INPUT FOR HIGH CURRENT OUTPUTS (RED) CONNECTED TO WHT (CONSTANT 12V)
H/4- (+) ACCESSORY OUTPUT (ORANGE) CONNECTED TO YELLOW (ACC)
H/5- (+) IGNITION OUTPUT (PINK) CONNECTED TO BLK / YELLOW (IGNITION)
H/6- (+) SECOND IGNITION ACCESSORY OUTPUT CONNECTED TO WHT/BLK (2ND IGNITION)
H/7- (+) 12V INPUT CONNECTED TO WHT (CONSTANT 12V)

That car has only one ignition wire and two accessories. I usually don't even power up the BLACK/ white second accessory, as it only powers the radio anyway.

So, in programming you should set the pink/white to act as an accessory output, rather than ignition. But even if it's set as ignition, that car should still start.

I believe you that you didn't get the purple and green mixed up, but even with some experience behind me I do get those wires backwards from time to time. I'd go and take a fresh look at that just to be 100% sure. Purple goes into the car's body, green goes toward the keyswitch.

If all else fails, time to test the purple wire to make sure it really is putting out power.

Thanks for the response Chris. I got a couple more questions maybe you could help me with. The blk/white was listed as the starter wire in "12 volt's" wiring chart. Is that wrong? If not, is that wire supposed to be separated and spliced into the starter output/input from the relay, or are you just supposed to "T" tap on the starter side and key side, and leave the wire direct? They listed whit/blk as ignition 2.As far as i can see purple and green are correct. If i reverse them and its wrong, could that cause any damage to unit or car? I might have something confused somewhere along the way? Would the car stay running (without key in ignition)if i had those wires reversed?

No you won't cause any damage if you reverse the green and purple on that car, And yes the car would stay running if you had those wires reversed.

im gonna double check those wires. Someone on another forum told me i might not be getting enough voltage by having all 3 12v wires tapped into the 1 constant 12v from my car. he said run the two high current 12v lines direct to the battery and leave the other 1 connected to the constant!
