Has anyone ever had success with remote start on a '01 Plymouth Neon. I am installing a code-alarm ca6550 rs alarm and using Dei xpresskit DLPKGM by pass module. I can't seem to get it out of program mode. DLPKGM led just keeps flashing rapidly but does not go out. The sequence is as follows: 1) hold program button while plugging conn #1, led comes on then insert conn #2. 2) turn key on ignition, then wait for led to flash and programming is done.

i have checked my connections and it is fine. Tech from DEI even confirmed this. The module I have is hardware ver #2, software ver 3.01 and i have reflashed it twice. Please help!

FYI, if I insert key in ignition and do RS, the engine turns and stays running. So i know my connections to car side are right.

Are you running D2D or W2W? Does any thing work thru CodeAlarm ( locks, trunk, R/S)?   Double check that the Pink and Pink/White from the DLPKGM both go to the car side of the cut Blue/White Ignition wire.

Try this sequence:

1.  Hold button, plug in connector 1.   The LED should come on.

2.  Release button. Insert connector 2. ( Be careful as this connector can be inserted upside down.)

3.  If you are running D2D, press the Lock button on the CodeAlarm FOB.  ( Not sure if CodeAlarm can go D2D.)

4.  Insert and turn the working ignition key to RUN.  The LED should start flashing rapidly.

5.  Turn the key to OFF and remove.

6.  Re-insert key and start car.  Then turn off and remove key.

Test door locks, trunk and remote start.   Personally, I use iDatalink modules and found them very easy to install and program.

Everything works on alarm side all functions. I tried restarting after programming but no affect. My last resort is universal transponder bypass which works like a charm.
