Hi guys, about to do a rs install on a 2008 Ford Edge. Looking at the paperwork, it looks fairly straight forward. Was just wondering how difficult it is to get to the tx and rx wires at the ignition switch for the transponder connections.

Any other tips or insight on this vehicle would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

The Edge is pretty straight forward.  Most of the wires are availble at the SJB.

PATS3 Immobilizer info:
Edge 07-10     TX = Pin 3 Violet/Gray      RX = Pin 4 Yellow/Orange    at immobilizer connector in steering column.

Does it have a MoonRoof?  If you want to WOW the customer, it is possible to turn on the illumination in that panel just like the dash lights, including dimmer.  The MKX has this feature but they left it out on the Edge.

Here is some good info on the Parking Lights  :  https://documents.audiovox.com/701127.pdf     2007 & 2008 are the same.

Thanks for the reply Kreg357, Is there any issues or tricks getting the steering column shroud off, sometimes they can be difficult ie. the tilt wheel steering lever.

  Thanks agan for the info.

Nothing unusual.  Basic 2 piece clam shell.  I think you just wiggle around the tilt lever.  Can't remember but I don't think it even has that Ignition Switch Tumbler Release thing either.  The DKP was packed with wires, so finding the correct ones there can take some time.
