I'm reinstalling Compustar 2W900FM-RSA remote start alarm and using a 8L3Z-19G365-BA bypass.   I'm reinstalling because it was originally in my 2008 truck that I traded in on a 2010.  I have most of the instuctions for reinstalling except that of the bypass.  I know how to install the wring over ignition key slot.  I'm just verifying that the remaining Black wire is to be grounded and the red is to receive power.  Is this correct?

How and does this bypass actually interface with the alarm...or does it?  And if so how would it?

Thanks

Mike

I've never dealt with compustar but the bypass needs red to constant 12volts and black should go to a wire either called ground when running (GWR) or status output. You will need 2 programmed keys to program it.     What kind of truck is this ? Ford?

Its a 2010 Ford F350.  I do have a (-) 250mA Status Out (GWR) wire.  I seem to remember connecting to this black wire.

I will try it when I get to that point and update this thread with my results.

Thanks for your help!
