cm6200 w/ blade in 2005 acura tl

I purchased the necessary parts to install a compustar remote start in my 2005 Acura TL. The things I got were:

1. CM6200 brain
2. BLADE-AL and usb programming cable
3. 2WG5 remote kit w/ antenna

I've programmed the unit with the appropriate blade firmware, and now I'm trying to gather wiring and install information. I can't find the CM6200 manual anywhere, though I did see that there is a CM6000 manual here which I downloaded. Is it the same?

When you flashed the Blade cartridge at the iDatalink WEB site, did you notice you can update the firmware on the CM6200 to the latest version ( might happen automatically now ) and set most of the programming options ( with nice descriptions of each and pull down menus ) ?  Much easier online than with a remote.

The CM6200 should come with a big fold out page for the wiring.

The CM6000 Install Guide should be good enough ( but includes the alarm specific info ) .  Set the program options online.  Set your jumpers. Cut the loop if automatic trans.  Connect wires & install.  Program the Blade.  Program your remotes.  Do the Tach Learn.    Test and done.

I did not notice any updating of the CM6200 firmware. It says it is firmware V5.1... is that the latest? I did see the options programming, which is really nice.

I've checked out the CM6000 install guide, the CM6200 wiring diagram, the blade module wiring diagram and the acura tl wiring information on this site and things seem to make sense, but I have a few questions.

1. Do I need to install a tach wire? The blade module says it has tachometer output. I assume that will take care of it for me, but if so, which option do I set for tach sensing? Do I just set it to none?

2. There are 2 red wires for 12V constant each with a 30A fuse coming out of the same pin in the connector in the supplied CM6200 wiring harness. My question is why are there 2? Also do I need to run a dedicated wire from the battery or can I use one found elsewhere like the 12V in the car's ignition harness?

3. Do I need to install a keysense wire?

4. Why is there a need for a second relay for the 2nd accessory wire triggered by pin 9 on connector C2? I guess I'm asking why the accessory out in the C1 connector can't just be connected to both?

CM6200 V5.1 is the latest so you are good to go on that.

The internal Blade to CM6200 interface will take care of the Tach Signal.  The CM6200 is defaulted to Tach mode.  Do the Blade to car programming first, verify the door locks are operational and then do the Tach Learn.

Yes, both +12v 30A Red power wires go to the same molex pin.  When you connect them to the car, just ensure the cars' wire(s) are capable of supplying the necessary current.

Should be OK without Keysense.

The CM6200 comes with an external relay that you will use for the cars' Accessory2 circuit.  To set it up for ACC2, connect the relays' short thin Violet wire to the CN2 WHITE/ Black (-) 200mA 2nd Accessory Output.  Then connect the relays' long thick Blue wire to the cars ACC2 wire.  It is best to keep the cars two accessory circuits seperate, for power and isolation reasons.  The Compustar makes it easy to do this with the extra relay.

My only remaining questions are again about 12V constants. I don't want to screw it up so I'm trying to make extra sure I understand exactly what to do.

1. Do I wire both +12V 30A Red power wires to the same wire on the car? Is the necessary current for the supply wire 30A or 60A?

2. Where do I connect the +12V 30A Red power wire from the Accessory 2 relay? Is it to the same place as the wires in question 1? And would that make the necessary current 90A?

PIN 2. Starter + -> BLACK/ white, ignition harness (cut and attach yellow/black to key side, and yellow to starter side)
PIN 3. Ignition + -> BLACK / YELLOW, ignition harness

PIN 5. 12V + 2 Wires -> ?
PIN 6. Parking Light + -> RED / black, large white plug, top of fuse box

CN2
PIN 6. Brake + -> WHITE/ black, brake pedal switch
PIN 9. 2nd Accessory Trigger to relay - -> WHITE/ red, ignition harness

CN4 (Blade)
PIN 4. Key Data -> RED / blue, ignition harness
PIN 5. Doorlock Data -> BROWN / black, driver door harness
PIN 10. Security LED Input -> blue/orange, ignition harness (cut, key side)
PIN 20. Security LED Output -> blue/orange, ignition harness (cut, led side)
