Im going to install a remote start in my wifes Trailblazer I bought a Python 991 and Xpresskit XK01 with AMDL software. I got the remote start part, but the alarm wiring with the bypass is confusing. With the XK01 do just hook up the violet data wire for D2D or do i need to hook up all wires to the approprate spots. Is it necessary with the bypass to tap into the driver door module for factory alarm disarm? Do i need to tap into the parking lights etc. or is it done through the bypass data? If anyone has done one or knows what wires i need for the alarm a write up would be greatly appreciated.

my experience with xk01s and amdl firmare is to just use it for passlock bypass and that's it. But provided it'll work properly you can just hook up the wirs from the rs unit to the module and see how it goes. the manual shows you waht to connect where and what it does.

I too am hookin up a rs unit but am a little nervous as I've never ran a bypass before..I've put in rs before on older model vehicles. Is there a site that shows actual pics of the process?..I've heard that u can cut the yellow wire from the tumbler to elliminate the passlock all together? But I would rather do it by the book.

XK01 should do everything... locks, bypass, heated seats..... in D2D only 1 wire to hook up! make sure yo power 2nd ACC on that TB as well.......
