Hi, I am a little confused as to whether or not I need a bypass module for installing a Viper 5301 Remote Starter in my 2001 Corolla S. I have checked websites selling the modules, but none show up for my car. How does the alarm disable? Thank you in advance for your help!

Don't believe you need a bypass module.  It was around 2005 that they started coming thru with engine immobilizers ( chip in the key ).  Easy test - go buy a duplicate key at the local hardware store for $1.79 and see if it will start and run your car.

The cars' Factory alarm, if it has one, is a seperate issue.  It should diaram with an unlock pulse.

Thanks!

Another thing... I am looking for some clarification on how the door lock system is wired. There was a link posted from Bulldog Security regarding this info a ways back but enough time has passed and the link is no longer valid.

The wires in this harness are:

H1 - (-) 200mA factory alarm disarm output
H2 - (-) 200mA factory alarm arm output
H3, H4, H5 - Aux 1,2,3 output
H6 - (-) 200mA 2nd unlock output
H7 - Diesel wait to start

Thank you again for all of the help!

The door lock are standard (-) Type B locks.  You can connect directly to them from the Vipers Green and Blue wire outputs on the Door lock harness, 3-pin connector ( not the H2 connector ).

This info from Bulldog Secrity :
POWER LOCK     BLUE/BLACK (TYPE B) See NOTE *1    @ WHITE PLUG, RIGHT SIDE of FUSEBOX
POWER UNLOCK   GREEN / WHITE (TYPE B) See NOTE *1   @ WHITE PLUG, RIGHT SIDE of FUSEBOX
NOTE *1 the LOCK/UNLOCK wires are approx. 18 gauge wires, these wires will ONLY TEST while
turning the KEY in the PASSENGER DOOR KEY CYLINDER not by using the POWER DOOR LOCK SWITCHES.

This info from AudioVox :
Power Unlock  GREEN / WHITE  (-)  WHITE PLUG RIGHT SIDE OF FUSE BOX
PowerLock     BLUE/BLACK   (-)  DRIVERS KICK PANEL      See Note
Note: THIS WIRE OVERIDES THE CHILD SAFETY WIRE

Duh... well that was a brain-fart on my end. Thank you very much for the clarification.

So I am about to begin installation of the remote starter and I just wanted to have reassurance that I am connecting everything correctly. Any confirmation/assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I have been researching this harness and have seen this explanation saying that it might need a relay. https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/forum_posts.asp?tid=67051&KW=JWorm However, I think the Viper is equipped to handle the second ignition wire.
