hey guys, im installing a autostart for 2006 dodge caravan and im using the ads-al bypass module.

do i need to use a 180 ohm resistor and a extra relay for the 2nd starter? if yes, how to do it? a diagram is fine for me.

how about the parking light, do i need to use a 2k ohm resistor and a extra relay?

in the bypass module how can i connect the starter input wire of the bypass module (BLACK/ white)? i will use the 1st starter wire or the 2nd starter wire?

if i use a autostart unit, can i use a D2D connection?

thanks

The Second Starter Mux is controlled thru data.  No need for relay / resistor.  Just follow the CH6 Type 2 install guide.  See Note at bottom left corner of guide page.

Parking Light control is handled by the remote starter in the usual fashion.  The iDatalink module is not involved.  Here is a link to Bulldogs' solution for the parking lights:  https://www.bulldogsecurity.com/diagrams/extrainfo/diagrams/14301_CARAVAN_CHRYSLER%20PARKING%20LIGHT%20DIAGRAM.pdf

The remote starters' Starter 1 output will be connected to the bypass BLACK/ White wire and the vans Starter 1 Yellow wire. ( As per install guide note at bottom left corner of install guide.)

I am not familiar with AutoStart products but believe they are D2D compatible.

thanks kreg,

so you mean i dont need to use the starter2 output wire of the caravan (PURPLE / brown wire) in order to remote start the car. the starter2 output wire is no use, is that what you mean? or do i need to connect the starter2 output wire to the 5th relay of the r/s unit?

thanks

The iDatalink module will do the MUX Start thru Data.  No connection to the vans'  PURPLE / Brown Mux Starter2 wire is necessary.
