I have a viper 5900 that i installed into my 2003 chevy trailblazer, its been in there for a few years, but now I am experiencing a problem. Normally the remote will confirm whatever action you select, duh its a two way, and if you are out of signal range it will beep and let you know.

But here is the problem, about every other time now it won't confirm the action, if i'm looking at my truck i can see its working but not being confirmed on the remote. I've tried new batteries but that didn't help. Now what do you think the problem is??

Thanks

reset the brain. unplug all power sources and wait a min, plug it back and see.

Ok I'll try that, does it seem more like a remote or brain issue?? Has anyone had a similar problem? Thanks

I tried what you have suggested and still seem to experience the same problem, any other ideas?

I've heard that reset with disconnecting all those wires but it never works for me. I'd say the remote is faulty.

try unplugging the antenna for about 2 minutes..... that 'may' fix the problem... if not, it sounds like a bum remote.... have seen this 1/2 a dozen times at least.....
