A guy put a remote start in my friends dodge charger and the lights aren't flashing when he remote starts. I see there is something to do with a resister or I see there is another way of going to a white and purple wire in the passenger side kick panel. what is the correct way for this?

Whichever is easier for you to do.  Use a volt meter to verify the info you have,

NOTE : to turn on the parking Lights on this vehicle will require a (-) Negative thru a 2700 Ohm and also requires Relay, to connect See DIAGRAM
