I have searched and read that D2D is still a new technology and seems the consensus here is that it is pretty iffy.  So I was wondering if anyone here had specifically tried it on a basic 2009 Camry (w/o push button start) and a system such as the Viper 5901 and DB-ALL bypass module, using connection method "A". After making the high current RS connections and, immobilizer transducer connections, and CAN bus connections at the DLC, this purports to work most everything else. I have done a few installs W2W in the past but I am not a pro so don't do them often, and D2D would save me some time... if it will work.  Of course the fallback if it doesn't work is to redo W2W.   What do you guys think?

Also, I usually use Fortin bypasses but their proprietary data connection, along with compatible RS systems, doesn't seem to provide near the functions that D2D does.  I wonder if Fortin and their partners will be coming out with something new anytime soon?

its not the vehicle that will allow d2d, its the units if compatable will allow d2d. I have done a 09 camry, very easy car to do but used a compustar pro 2way and fortin bypass module.

I dont do DEI products so cant help you there.
