2002 Ford Explorer Sport Trac

Have the above listed with an Autopage 405. The parking lamps USED TO flash when armed or disarmed. I wired my fog lamps to turn on automatically when parking lamps are turned on running through a 20-30amp relay(don't recall which). For a while it worked with no problem however recently the fuse in the trigger wire for the parking lamps from the alarm (10 amp) blew. I replaced, and only lasted a few arm/disarms then blew again. I was wondering if the relay could be too demanding of the trigger wire and is causing the fuse to blow. Could/should I try a slightly larger fuse?

it may be the back emf from the relay de-energizing, try putting a diode on the coil of the relay, banded side to postive and see if that fixes it
