I am going to be putting in an Avital 4103 remote start in a customer's 2000 Camry base model with no factory alarm or keyless entry soon and had a few questions. First will the Avital need a set of external relays for the door lock like a 451m ?? Also will I need a bypass for an immobilizer?? Key he is using appears to be a standard hardware store copy with bare metal head so I assume not but wanted to be sure before starting.

If it is an all metal key...NO bypass...The 4103 is a good unit...And the camry is VERY easy to do...The door locks should be negative and the wires from the remote start will hook up directly to the wires in the car...

Just make sure to turn OFF virtual tach if you are going tach-less and set crank time to .8 or 1.0 seconds... Dos you have a bit-writer...If not and are going to be installing alot of these units...Buy one...Makes programming features SOOOO much easier...for example...You can set run-time up to 60 minutes in 1 minute increments...Also turn off virtual tach and set crank time...etc...!
