Installing this weekend. I am a DIY'r. I understand which wires I need to splice into. A couple questions

1. Best place to mount the control module on the TB?
2. Best place to mount the control center?
3. Is it mandatory to install the XK06
4. If I require the XK06 or other module do I need to have the bitwriter to program?

Thanks

Just did one yesterday. Mount the electronics high up underdash, on the left side. Wire tie to existing main harness.

I've done the door locks without a module. It's a whole lot of work. Everything else is do-able without a module, but a module will make your whole life easier & you can spend Christmas with your family & not under your dash.

I used a Fortin INT-SL+ module. It worked perfect. I love Fortin products. They come ready to go with loaded software, so no need to update software over the internet.

Module provides you Passlock II bypass, lock/unlock with factory alarm disarm, tach signal, & parking lights. Just connect to the brake wire & all your ignition wires. Make sure you also connect to the heavy brown wire of Ignition (Accessory 2)

Thanks adv-
Unfortunately I did spend christmas under the dash :( I picked up a bull dog 791 bypass module and just could not get it to work. I think this is the problem. I press the remote start and I read 12 volts to the starter but starter does not engage. then it times out after a few seconds then attempts two more time and then I get a fail alert on the 2 way remote. I checked wiring several times and erased and re-learned on the by pass. My status LED flashes on the 5701 are 4 (Transmitter shutdown). Startup diagnostics pass
I started messing with the menu 3-9 delay and I think I really mucked things up. Now I remote start and it acts like it engages but no 12 volts to the starter. It never times out on fail. Then if I put the key in the ignition and go to ACCY it starts. I turn off and remove the key and it keeps running. The only way I can turn it off is by using the remote.

I tried to reset the 5701 back to factory default but the procedure does not work .

GRRRR

Any ideas??

The second accessory does not need powered but the second ignition does (Pink/White on Viper to White in the ignition harness).
