I had a steering column issue on my car and had the column replaced several months ago, other than the key not coming out of the ignition intermittently, I have had no problems. It has the PassLock III design and I am installing a Bulldog RS1100 w/791 bypass.

I have connected the main wires to the ignition harness as stated per the install instructions. I also used the test tip involving jumping wires to start the vehicle after the connections have been made. Successful!

I found the ORANGE / black FASD and connected the RED / black from the main module. Found the Brown parking light wire and connected Brown wire from main module. Black wire grounded. Connected Red wire from Bypass module to yellow wire from ignition harness(as stated for bypassing PK3). Orange from bypass module is grounded. Blue from bypass module is connected to White (-) on main module. Wire Loop is on lock cylinder between PK3 component and before entry of the key input opening.

I am not using the hood pin switch, so I tried the sequence to clear and/or program the main module.

If I connect the two red wires to the main module the dash/parking lights flash three times. Nothing else I do will start the vehicle. The parking lights never flash again, for anything.

What could be the issue?

Thanks

Sounds like the hood pin wire is grounded or the (+ )Brake input wire is seeing a constant +12v.   Do the locks work from the remote?

Soldering is fun!

hood pin wire is not connected to anything, I only touched it to the ground briefly for initial programming of the module. I have not wired in the doorlocks yet. Just want the starter to work, then move on from there.
