So I have a 2002 Mitsubishi lancer I have a rattler alarm and a viper remote start. The problem I am having is if the car is locked and you activate the remote start after about to minutes the alarm goes off and also the remote start doesn't start the car on the first time any help would be greatly appreciated!

If it doesn't start the first time most likely the tach wire wasn't hooked up. Hook it up and learn tach and your problem should go away.

As far as setting the alarm off, you will need to bypass the ignition input and the shock sensor during remote starting.
