Hi all, I am installing a viper 5701 into a 2005 Nissan pathfinder and only want the remote start and door lock/unlock. My wife does not want the alarm part(I know it sounds strange, but we bought a 5301 and was shipped a 5701 instead and they said to keep it). I know I can set the alarm portion to valet mode to keep it deactivated but I want to still have programming mode. It shows I need to have the negative door trigger hooked up in order to do so. Can I just connect the door trigger wire from the alarm to the left front door trigger wire of the vehicle without having to connect to all doors and diode isolating them or should I just leave it unhooked and ground it when I need to program something.

meh if you really want to be lazy just hook it up to a toggle switch to ground.
