on a 2007 jeep liberty- does the factory keyless remotes/key work while car is under remote start. looking to do a 1 button but keep the driver door priority unlock first.

Yes it stays operable when the vehicle is running.  Easy way to test for sure is to start the truck then try locking or unlocking from a seperate key.  Perhaps you could even use the key that you started the truck with.

sorry- its actually an 05 liberty. it has the sentry key. I tried the buttons on the remote while it was in the ignition but they did not work. i did not try as you said with the second remote to see if it works. i figured its the keysense that stops it from working. but if anyone knows for sure please chime in.

It should work fine.  If the ignition system senses the rfid from the key it wont allow that remote to work.  Try locking/unlocking with the second key.  Those fobs usually retain operation when running under remote start.
