Hi Guys, just a quick question. I am as we speak installing a r/s in to a 2004 eclipse, and was wondering if there is an easier location to pick up the tach wire. The instrument cluster does not look that easy to remove.

  Thank you in advance

This info from Bulldog Security :
TACH       WHITE         @ ENGINE SPEED DETECT CONNECTOR See NOTE *3
NOTE *3 THE ENGINE SPEED DETECTION CONNECTOR IS A SINGLE PIN CONNECTOR IN THE FUSE/RELAY BOX UNDER THE HOOD.

I imagine any Fuel Injector is OK, too.

Thanks so much for the reply,I also had that info, but could not locate a single connector in or around the under hood fuse/relay box. So I used the uncommon colored wire off an injector, only to have it throw the service engine light. Have cleared the s/e light since by disconnecting the battery momentarily, and removing the injertor wire connection. Installing a compustar 6200, so the tachless mode works flawlesslly, but  still prefer to have an tach connection.

Any other suggestions would be appreciated, thanks again for the reply
