I'm relatively new to installing remote start units, but have had success and no issues on all vehicles except GM. On a 2000 Grand Am with a 3.4, I used wiring information from bulldog's website, on an Audiovox APS620N unit with PLJX passlock bypass, got the R/S unit to work great. The issues it caused were

A. The blower motor/HVAC would not be on during a remote start, and
B. It would trigger 5 different engine trouble codes, which, when all appearing at the same time, indicate a fault with the ignition cylinder, which there isn't.

So upon looking into the install, I used wiring information found here https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/alarmdetail/1868.html
and the only difference was I changed my target wire for Ignition 2 from a green one to an orange one as the 12 volt indicated based on a voltage check.

After this, when I initiate a remote start, the blower motor will go on, but the vehicle will do one of either two things:

1. Crank and start but shut off almost immediately, or
2. Crank for about 10 seconds without starting and give up.

I'm posting this wondering if anyone has had any similar issues. My entire hookup is exactly according to the information provided by the 12volt for the primary 6-wire harness, and I've confirmed the target wires by voltage/function checks indicative of what the install manual says they should do.

My instinct here is that I may need to re-program my PLJX unit, but I am not 100% that this issue is related to passlock or if my wires aren't such that the fuel pump is being activated. When starting by key there are no issues whatsoever, and all other functionality on the APS620 is there. Also, if I'm starting by remote, and the engine is cranking, if I put my key in the ignition and turn it to ON, the car will then start.

Thanks for any help.

Here is info from Audiovox.  You may need extra relays to power all the necessary ignition wires.
It would appear a thorough ignition wire check with a DMM is in order.

Remote Start
 WIRE  COLOR  POLARITY  LOCATION
Battery             RED & RED / BLACK  (+)    IGN. SWITCH REMOVE RADIO OR INST CLUSTER
Ignition 1         PINK  (+)                              IGN. SWITCH REMOVE RADIO OR INST CLUSTER
Ignition 2         GREEN  (+)                        IGN. SWITCH REMOVE RADIO OR INST CLUSTER
Ignition 3         ORANGE  (+)                     IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS
Accessory 1    BROWN  (+)                      IGN. SWITCH REMOVE RADIO OR INST CLUSTER
Starter 1          YELLOW  (+)                     IGN. SWITCH REMOVE RADIO OR INST CLUSTER

Soldering is fun!

Thank you, it hadn't occurred to me that it would have needed a 3rd ignition. I used 2 relays to power my 2nd ignition output from the R/S and energize both wires. Everything works now, and no SES light.

Thanks again
