Hello everyone,
I have a 2000 Jetta GLS that I am working on. Customer asked about the VW Comfort Turn system, apparently a factory installed option to allow a single push of the signal lever to flash the turn signals 3 times.
Upon looking at images of the "factory upgrade" kit, it really looks like it ties in 5 wires to the hazard/signal relay to a 5-pin relay.
Has anyone done this before? Are there any diagrams on how to do this using regular relays. Would be a nice feature to install on even my own cars.
Thanks in advance.

I remember finding an aftermarket company that offered this for a very reasonable price not too long ago. You basically push the turn signal up or down just enough to turn the light on, but not enough that it latches and the module automatically flashes the lights a few times. I'll see if I can dig up the company info.

I've a feeling VW uses DATA to achieve this, GM also does it in Europe, I've found it very disconcerting because you automatically pull it back if making a lane change and you find it's now gone to the other direction. If not DATA it's a timed latch.
------------- Amateurs assume, don't test and have problems; pros test first. I am not a free install service.
Read the installation manual, do a search here or online for your vehicle wiring before posting.
