I did a quick search but couldn't find an answer so here goes.

I have a 2008 avalanche LTZ Z71 with factory remote start.  The range on the fob is less than useless.  I have looked into the extended range fobs offered by chevy and apparently customers report only a little gain in range.  I was told by the dealer that they can install an aftermarket remote start that will trip all the current features when used (ie, heated seats come on automatically in cold weather).  I want not only the range but also the longer than 10mins run time.  What I would like is to install this myself.  I've done installs on many vehicles and am not concerned about the wiring procedures themselves.   What I'm unsure of is if i have to dissconnect the OEM remote start all together and install a ton of relays to operate the seats, etc... or do I leave the OEM remote start and connect the aftermarket one to it?  Any info would be great thanks.

Check out the iDatalink ADS-DLSL GM bypass module.  This module combined with a quality remote starter will give you
the range you want and control the door locks, factory alarm and turn on the heated accessories.  You will also need
the ADS RNG GM3 and install it following the Type 2 install guide to work with an existing factory remote starter.
Here is a link to the iDatalink site.  https://www.idatalink.com/support/helpdesk  There are many modules available for
your truck but the Solo Series ( orange box ) come pre-loaded with firmware.
