I have a Crimestoppers RS 4G-2, I installed it in my 2002 jeep grand cherokee and I got the DEI 455J system, everything is fine with the door locks it works in all the doors, the dome lights turn on when they should ect.. The engine starts and then shuts off after maybe 3 seconds...? any ideas i assume it was the security system. Does the DEI 455J control the stock alarm system as well?

It does not serve as a bypass module for the remote start. You should use the DLPKGM module which does both the door locks and the bypass for the remote start.

from my understanding the DLPKGM module is the same on GM vehicles as the DEI 455J is for my jeep.. What about,if anyone has already installed one, where more specifically does the data wire connect to my jeep?

the 455 is a retired product and from my recollection it will disarm the factory alarm doesnt sound when remote starting however NOT do the bypass to allow it to actually start and remain running. The dlpkgm does it all.
