alpine sec 8027 add remote start

Anyone on here know if you can add-on a module for remote start to this Alpine alarm?  What type of module or will any connect to this alarm.  I've seen autopage rs-60 modules for really cheap and was wondering if it could be added and controlled by the ext output on the remote or any other module for that matter.  If someone could please give me some insight on this that would be great.

as long as you have a remote starter that has a start trigger and an aux output to use you should be able to do it.

as for the turning off alarm features while started i am not sure on that end

So what your saying is all I really need is a remote starter module that has a remote start trigger. And from my alarm an ext output which it has.  Would that make the remote start module engage without it's own remote fobs.  And it would need to shutdown my alpine alarm while it remote starts to keep from triggering it.   Am I missing anything here.  Sounds pretty simple.  Anyone have any modules to recommend to do this that work well with the alpine sec-8027 alarm?

yes that should work. Some alarms have a wire that is made to deactivate the shock and ignition for remote start. it keeps the door, hood and trunk active.

you connect it to the Ground while running (status wire) of the remote start. not sure if yours has it.

almost any brand name would be good avoid the no name ones. look for a remote starter add on. this will not come with remotes or an antenna. Just the module and harness for the starter. the autopage you listed would work too.

if your looking for a bypass module you can check out Fortin, Idatalink or Xpresskit website to see what you need for your vehicle.

Since you already have an alarm that controls door locks and other Features you should only need a Immobilizer bypass and not one that controls everything.

Ok so I got a Prostart 2in1  2 way remote starter.  So plans have changed, I would like to use the remote starter as the primary remote because of distance and it being lcd giving me many convenience features.  So now my question is how would I wire the remote starter to the alpine sec-8027 so that the alpine does not give me false alarms while trying to remote start.  I'm going to have the prostart control door locks and everything else but have the alpine control the shock sensor and siren.  I've looked into the wiring for the alpine but see no such wire listed.  Where I've seen the alpine sec-8027A and it shows an internal wire in the module for this.  It's a (blue wire) looped.  It says that you connect ground from optional remote start module to disable ignition and impact trigger. (Solder on connection)  Alarm disable input (-) wire.  I've opened my module up and there is a green, blue, yellow looped wires in it.  Would the blue wire in mine be the same as in the sec-8027A or could it be one of the other 2 anyone know what these wires do.  There is nothing in the wiring diagram or manual that even mention these wires.

if you were going this far think i would of opted for an all in one setup

alarm/remote stater

would be easier in the long run and everything will work together with out guessing what to do

Well I already had the Alarm so whats another module to add. just wiring.  If i only knew what wire to connect to on the alpine thats all i would need.  I'm hoping its the blue loop in the module as like in the sec-8027a but mine is an sec-8027 not sure what the major differences are other then maybe year of manufacture?  If someone has a clue on this module please help jst need to know 1 wire basically the the module disarm wire as its not listed in my manual or wiring diagram thats provided with it.

That blue wire will work for temporally disable ignition and shock sensor.

you will also have to find a way to disarm the alarm and arm the alarm from unlocking/locking the doors with the remote starter remotes

or the alarm will sound when you open the door when its armed from the door triggers.

it is much easier to get an alarm to control a remote starter then it is a remote starter to control an alarm.

most alarms don't have external inputs to disarm and arm by another device that i know of.

might have to open it up and do some testing to find the triggers.

or opt to carrying two sets of remotes..

couldn't I just wire the arm and disarm wires from the remote starter to the door lock/unlock  wires on the alarm module? Since the alarm is not even controlling door locks anymore.

how are you going to arm and disarm the alarm.

in other word turn it on and off so the siren does not sound when you open the doors.

the doorlock wires that come from the alarm are output wire not inputs
