I'm preparing to buy parts to do this install. So my research for this truck (on this site) says that I don't need a bypass module to start the truck remotely, (I was surprised by this, I thought most all newer vehicles needed bypasses) and it also says that a door lock/unlock module is advisable to enable the door lock control.
Would this not be an excellent canidate for a one-button remote start only install- where no doorlock control is needed? Just let the owner carry his regular remotes. Would I only need to make sure the keysense is grounded while the truck is running in R/S mode? What about alarms? Can the ruck be remotely started and not throw off alarms?
This is a four door truck- but a cab and a half- the back 2 doors do not open the same way as the front.

A one button remote start is probably not the best choice. Most Toyotas disable the factory keyless while the engine is running, either by key or under the remote starter. You might want to check / test this before ordering parts. A remote start with keyless is the better choice. I didn't see any door lock modules listed. The truck might not have the factory alarm. If it does have the alarm, use the Keysense wire to disable it during remote start.
iDatalink lists a transponder bypass for this truck, so it is possible that it could have one. DEI lists their 556UW key in the box bypass for it as well.

if you want a 1 button get an avital 4111 or 4113 and hook it up so you can unlock it with the avital once the vehicle is running. and i have done 06 tundras and have used a pkall. some aren't chipped however.
