2008 Ford Fusion
Avital 4111
Flash Logic

I have installed the remote starter and it works great. However, when I try to start the vehicle with keys only the vehicle will not start. The security light flashes. I am unsure which wire I have switched around. I used the 2007 wiring diagram from 12volt, because there wasn't 2008 diagram. I would appreciate any help.

Did you use a Starter Kill relay and  cut the cars' starter wire?

Did you by chance unplug the ignition switch?

what bypass did you use?  if using a transponder box, be sure it is only active during remote start.  fords dont start if they see two keys at once

I used an Audiovox FLCAN that was flashed for the Ford Fusion. I did not use a relay for the starter wire.

I was told that I have the starter kill wire is switched around, but am unsure exactly what wire that would be.

It will be the blue/white wire you cut. Your aftermarket colors will depend on what relay you used.

However if your light is flashing on the dash it should be a transponder issue. Unplug everything except the black harness on the FL-CAN then try to start it. If it starts, your GWR wire is seeing a constant ground signal instead of status output.

Not to step on toes, as most of the suggestions are indeed good...but I would start by unplugging the FL-CAN, put a key in the ignition and remote start it. This would troubleshoot it down to the bypass. I lean towards agreeing with yimke..the bypass is probably on at all times.

What wire would be an input (-) ground when running output of remote starter. This would activate immobilizer override? Thanks, for all the help! I almost have it figured out.

The 4111 has 2 Ground When Running (GWR) wires. DEI labels them as 'status' outputs. One is blue, the other is blue with a white stripe.

Which blue, blue/white wire on this diagram is a GWR? There are multiple blue, blue/white wires and I am unsure which is a GWR.

I understand the status/GWR wires. It was right in front of me...I have been over thinking this way to much. Lastly, I need to know what the last three wires need to go to.
Coming of the 4-pin satellite harness diagram...
(-) status output goes to blue wire or blue/white

(-) accessory output????
(-) starter output????
(-) ignition output???
I would greatly appreciate any help where these last three wires need to go.

Thanks for your help!

Those 3 outputs are typically used to control extra relays that can be added and used to supply power to any IGN2, ACC2 or Starter2 ignition circuits that the vehicle might have.  In the case of your 2008 Fusion, they are not needed and won't be connected / used. As you noted the (-) Status Output will be connected to the bypass module to control its operation during remote start.

I am also working on a Toyota Tacoma 06 V6. I am unsure where three wires need to go coming off the Audiovox PKT2.

1) The security light (I am unsure where this wire is and where I should tap into this wire.)
2)The Data IMI and Data IMO goes to a ECU conn. E7 which, is a Lt. GREEN/ Black pin 15 and a Lt. Blue/White pin 16. I am unsure where this is in the truck.

Your time and help is greatly appreciated!
