I have a 97 Grand Cherokee w/ keyless entry and I'm having an odd problem with the pwr locks. I have experience on door locking systems (single wire / Positive - Negative, and reverse polarity).

Now my problem...

Thinking this is a typical RP system, I have installed the relays inside (OMG!) the driver's door, and have pulsed the keylock wire to disarm the factory anti-theft. Everything works fine (lock, unlock and disarm) using the aftermarket module, however, only the front and rear doors on the driver side work.

Does anyone have a solution?

:)

I pretty sure you have to do what you did in the drivers door, also in the passenger door.

You could of bought a module (a DEI 455T) to do all this through the data bus, But what your doing will still work.

Thanks for the tip Derek :)

I will have to go back and grab a couple more relays.

Hmmmm... why would they have to complicate such a simple thing? Any other veichle I have worked on only needed one set.

Hehehhehe... Thanks again posted_image
