I have a 2002 GMC Sierra with an Autostart Remote Start and am looking to shut off the RAP. I have read on here to use the rearm wire and hook that up to the door pin wire. Whould this be correct. And also if this is the way to do it will it shut off the rap if the remote start times out as well???

yes that is correct. as long as your door trigger is negative.

RAP shuts off after 10-15 minutes automatically. Not really worth it unless you are running a big system in your vehicle.

The "re-arm" wire from you remote start unit...does it pulse when the remote start shuts  down?  If so, here is what you do:

As long as the truck is an '02, go to the BCM which should be right under the steering column when you remove the underdash panel.  There are 4 plugs at the BCM.  Locate the tan wire in pin B4 of the purple plug.  That is the driver's door "pin" wire.  Put your meter on it and it should show 12 volts when the driver's door is closed and then go to 0 volts when the door is opened.  Hook your "re-arm" wire to this tan wire and it will turn off the RAP and you're done.
